This weekend, we celebrated Akemi’s birthday in the traditional way with a couples massage, sushi, and the annual purchasing of the sunglasses to replace the lost sunglasses I purchased the previous year.

I never understand the significance of macarons. I’ve tried macaroons, never really liked them, but never tried a macaron, yet in so many shows these days, macarons always pop up out of nowhere. Must be an invasion….

Speaking of Sipos, I thought she did quite well in Ascension. Her character played the politics of the “ship” quite well. It was a shame that the mini series didn’t get a series order, but given how expensive it was, and the mostly okay ratings it’s understandable. Just that ending, oh god..
It did track fairly well though, when you look at the 0.6/0.4/0.5 for the three night event at a time just before Christmas, you can see that there was genuine interest there for a ship in “space” show.
@The cereal soft serve gave me a plethora of new ideas for some summer ice cream flavors.
Love this, and those food pictures look artistic Joe. Also I caught up with Fate/Stay Night Unlimited Blade works recently and honestly, the Fate series can be pretty harsh/sad. Especially Episode 15 the latest ep, it makes a certain powerful character(avoiding spoilers) so unlikable for what he did.
This looks like a great birthday celebration! I hope Akemi enjoyed it too!

I’m here in the airport in Phoenix (way early) waiting to head home. I don’t actually arrive home until tomorrow at noon, so lots if traveling hours left. It wasn’t the best vacation ever, do doubt about it! The upside is I did survive, which I suppose is the best you can hope of any outing! 🙂
