An early blog entry today as I’m in Waterloo for a day of fun out of the sun. Plenty of fireworks in store for us tonight as we shoot our explosive finish, so I’ve got my earplugs at the ready.
I suppose it’s only fitting then that I make today’s instalment a Dark Matter Girls with Guns pictorial!
The screen grab of the day:
And the sock of the day:

Those gals are ready for Memphis!
Careful driving back!
All those girls look awfully comfortable packing all that heat. Not sure whether that should cool or kind of worrying. Probably both!
I love that screen grab of the day! It looks so cold and desolate – perfect for that mining planet.
Remember, no driving when tired!
Awesome. I see the red gun was toned down. Much better color choice. I love Kelly Diamond’s hair. I was going to go with purple once the blue dye my colorist bought is at its end (or the next time she has to bleach it out before putting color on it again) and I was going to do purple next. Now I’m more psyched about it. And of course, love Natalie’s socks.
Re the prop ladies:
Please ask the blonde on the left if she is related to a Crozier or Kell family. She bears a strong resemblance to my best friend’s family.
Please ask the lady at right if she is related to a Lear family. She resembles some childhood schoolmates.
Oh, yes! Great pictures, Joe. And now the Ferrous Corp. gun is perfect! Aren’t you glad you have us kibitzing, um, rather, advising you? (dang – can someone tell me how to do that line-through thingie with text? It would be ever-so-much more elegant).
Where is our dance of the day? Is Alex mad at us? 🙁
Ya know, those pictures make me think of a zombie movie. Something happened turning all the men into zombies and the women hold up in a warehouse fighting them off. It’s a comedy.
What fun! Lookit all the gun molls! I wonder who the crime boss is…prolly some Italian fella… 😉
I agree with Sparrow, the gun is perfect! Far less Lego-ish looking. 😉
And Sparrow, to do the ‘delete line’, just put the around the letters: del
Hope that helps!
Ugh – my little bracket-y things didn’t post. Anyway, Sparrow – put del inside those arrow bracket thingys.
Wish the wiki or IMFDB had detailed sections of the weapons looking for good pics and concept art for the weapons…
Hope you enjoyed your time in Waterloo hope you come back, lots of awesome places to eat here.
I love Kelly’s shawl pictured, where is it from?
LOL at the sock of the day. 😀
I miss the dance of the day too, 🙁 I suppose Alex has to work instead of dancing for us. :p
Nice girls with guns feature.
Nevermind the hardwear, I’m sure these Ladies can kickass just as well without! Actually, I’m rather loving that purple hat of Alyssa’s and Kelly’s yellow shawl…
Now you have a terrific start on your Girls With Guns calendar, and cool socks!
Looks hawt ladies!! You go!
Okay, let’s give it a try.
Love the icicles! And I think filming in the cold probably adds to the gritty, post-apocalyptic feel. No? Just eliminates any feeling whatsoever?
Thanks, das! This dog can still learn a trick or two.
@Sparrow_hawk…heya..still where I belong in Chicagoland. The stuff was shipped from NY, I think. Shopping at Amazon Canada.
The spray goes on cool/cold great for reducing inflammation then it warms.
I may be weird, but I really like the aroma.
@ JOE….remember to shake well before application.
The old dog just has to learn how to turn off the caps lock… 😉
Wow! Lovin’ the guns!
Joe, I hope you made it home safely.
Okay, Joe. You approved some comments this morning so I know you got home safely.
Go back to bed and get some sleep.
@sylvia: Ah, that explains it.
Nice guns, ladies.
That’s some BIG guns you have there, buddy…I always loved the Men In Black scene where Will Smith gets the tiny gun,,,and the recoil knocks him for a loop…
@All those girls look awfully comfortable packing all that heat.
I was just going to say. They look like naturals with the guns lol.
Okay, the Damoiselles with Derringers pictorials need to join the Sock o’ of the Day as a regular feature. The screen grab; is that a real place in TO? That is too cool, very alien asteroid-ish.
