WHOA, FANNNNNNNNN-TASTIC. I had to find another adjective other than awesome. Loved the trailer.

Please keep our family in your thoughts tomorrow (Friday) as we play political hardball with our school district. I have my Xanax ready and I expect not to sleep at all tonight.

Everything just seems like it is falling apart. My husband decided to share he is in the middle of a serious mid-life crisis last week and today I found out my job might be in danger (or at least warning signs have gone up to me when they suggested I take what is known here in the states as Family Medical Leave Act, but then found out I’m not even doing part-time work so I don’t really qualify for that (leave without pay). I asked them to please just muddle through with me and I’m hoping that things will get better by next month. I’m hoping 21 years on the job of being an exemplary full-time employee will count (but we’ve lost accounts and people are being laid off).

Ah, yes the trailer is frakking fantastic. Now April just can’t come soon enough. Grey and the gang at MGM sure did a stunning job.

Resurgence, huh? That’s a pretty good title. Now I’m mostly happy about posting the pre-airing discussion thread over at gateworld before PG15. 😛

The trailer was fun…now I’m trying to tie some of the clips into probable story lines…and most probably failing 😉

Anyway, I’ll take a guess at Episode #7:

    The Greater Hero

    or

    The Dreaded Ones

I’ll stop there (unfortunately, I’ve got some real work to do…)

I will be so glad to finally see some real aliens. Can’t say as I’m looking forward to IOA lady in command, though. But maybe that’s because I’ve recently been listening to the audiobook of Harry Potter 5 and the whole business reminds me a little too much of Umbridge.

Regarding the titles, are any of the words ones that we’d never be able to guess, like made-up names?

    Hey Joe.

you and everyone else working on SG-U have out done your selves with this new trailer, i havn’t wanted to see the scond half of a series this much since…well the second half of atlantis’ 5th season.

somethings been bugging me though, Hypotheticly, if Atlantis had an unlimited supply of ZPMs and it left now, would it be possible for it to catch up to destiny, assuming they knew where Destiny was, or is Destiny’s FTL drive faster then Atlantis’ Hyperdrive?

WOOOOO!!! Saw the trailer a few hours ago, and since then I’ve watched it 6 times. Not that much compared to some of the others on Gateworld, but I like to sparse out the Awesome – I wouldn’t want an Awesome overload, would I? That’d be messy.

Anyway, the second half of the season is looking SPECTACULAR! So many intriguing plot points, and the ALIENS!! Holy crap, that was incredible CGI. Very creepy.

And also that spire! I wonder what that’s about. Perhaps the last vestige of a dead civilization? This is exactly the kind of stuff I wanted out of SGU from the beginning. It’s time to take these well-developed characters and throw some hardcore Sci-Fi into their faces!

    CAN’T WAIT FOR APRIL 2ND!!

Then there are the pics! Thank you, Joe, for all these production images! They’re great. I especially love the one with the Stargate.

Congratulations to Chevron7 for guessing the title!

@ PBMom: Yikes, sounds like rough times ahead. I will definitely keep you in my thoughts. Good luck!

@ Joel: Oh ho! Big mistake buddy boy. You could’ve left your secret identity as EvilSpaceAlien on Gateworld a, uh, secret! But no, you had to boast about your faster response time, and in turn you have sealed your fate!

I don’t know what that fate is, but you have sealed it! Sealed it GOOD! Oh yes.

Well, shoot, I was going to guess “The Greater Good” for episode 7, but several people beat me to it, so I’ll just have to go with my second guess of “The Treacle Bars”, which makes no sense but sounds tasty.

Hmm. Don’t know if I’m just feeling contrary, but the trailer didn’t do much for me. The view of the aliens coming through the gate did grab my attention, but overall I can’t say the video has increased my anticipation. Still, the show looks like its beginning to find its stride. We’ll find out soon enough I guess.

Thanks all. Some day I would love to meet you all and give you big hugs (I’m a hugger). And you are right, I do come here to get great big deep-from-the-stomach laughs that I have decided I must have in my daily life. Told my husband his crisis would have to wait until Monday. Once I get through this thing on Friday, I have to work this weekend. Then there will be part 2 of this meeting. The meeting is in 5 hours? and I’m still printing up documentation–on 2 (two) printers no less.

I’m sure I’ve forgotten something important. It’s almost 4 a.m. and I am fading. Gotta be of sound mind when I sign those papers — Heck, who am I kidding. I am NEVER of sound mind.

Thank you all for your thoughts and vibes and prayers if that is your choices. They all accomplish the same thing: Making me know that others care and I’m not alone.

Seriously though, me and my Uncle managed to stop at the parking area and walk around a bit. It was pretty empty, and we couldn’t find where they were filming. There was a kid hanging around the school practicing tennis and even he didn’t know where you guys were.

Still, I did see a trailer door with the name “Camille” written on it. That was pretty cool! And yes, I resisted the urge to knock on that door and freak out Ming Na…but just barely. 😉

I’m wondering, Joe … how did all of you on SGU (crew & cast) manage to pull off such a massive secret undertaking … taking all the notes that people were very vocally complaining about on several websites … and then go back and re-shoot those 10 episodes so that you could give those very vocal complainers what they wanted?

Totally, totally amazing … the magnitude of it. Astounding.

Whoops. Forgot to add [sarcasm] and [/sarcasm]. My faux pas.

Anyhow … really looking forward to what SGU is bringing on, especially considering I *liked* the first half of the season and am very much appreciating the differently-paced-than-previous-Stargate-series storytelling.

P.S. – And yes, I have already read two comments on other sites that after seeing the trailer they were very happy that TPTB listened to all the complaints and went and did the second half the way they wanted.

    Yeah.

So next time, I suggest you let people know that what they were clamoring for is coming up.

    Oh. Wait.

    You did.

That trailer really is fantastic. I was wavering on whether I was going to watch, but it has me all excited now for the back half of the season. The people/person who made it should get a raise.

Since the temperate planet reminded TJ of home, this could fit as a title.

I just got in from a big day (work, doctor’s visit, dinner at the in-laws) and trying to catch up:

@ PBMom – {{hugs}} Hang in there! Everything is on such shaky ground right now – nothing is secure. I hope things level out for you – this economy is killing us all, I think. We just decided to put on a new much-needed roof, and ever since I signed the down-payment check, hubby has been in ‘nervous breakdown’ mode. 😛 He’s just fretting so over it, and I’m fretting over work, and – ya know what my mom said? She said, “We’ve always had hard times, and when your father wanted to go to Acapulco year after year, I always argued that we couldn’t afford it. But I went, and I don’t regret it – ever. We’ll always have debt, but we also have some great once-in-a-lifetime memories.”

Basically, I think she was saying to learn how to stop and smell the roses. In times like this, I think that’s the best way to keep your sanity.

@ Kabra – Ha! I wonder how hard it would be to put a handgina in one of those things… 😉
