We’ve done The Twilight Zone (1959), The Outer Limits (1973), and are finishing up Columbo (1971).  So what classic series should be our next rewatch? Thinking something a little lighter like The Flintstones (1960), Spider-Man (1967), Batman (1966), or Get Smart (1965).  Thoughts?

A couple more 2025 crime read recommendations (Ticking up towards a Top 40 of the 375 books I checked out this year)…

  1. I’d be happy with any of your rewatch suggestions. Although Spiderman wouldn’t be a rewatch for me as I don’t think I’ve seen much of it before! The Flintstones, Batman and Get Smart were in steady rotation on Australian TV while I was growing up in the ’70s and ’80s. Out of the four I think Get Smart is my favourite.

Tough choices need to be made for the 2IC. I think Riker and Spock would make a power team! But so would Carter and Ivanova. In the end it’s gotta be Carter and Spock. But I don’t know how I’m gonna choose between them in the next round!

  2. Spock, but, c‘mon, don’t make me choose Carter over Riker, it’s not fair.

  3. As much as I would love to declare it a tie between Spock, Riker and Carter,
    here’s why Spock wins.
    1. Most unique character of the 3.
    2. Started a real life global trend among young and old alike, that has endured
    the test of time.
Pretty much every sci fi fan is familiar with the “Live long and prosper”
    peace sign.

As for re-watches, …It was good for a couple giggles at first, albeit I eventually got bored with my Get Smart re-watch because it was much too episodic in nature ( I tend to get bored if not enough progression in story and characters) and the stereo type humor, waaay too dated.

I’d be up for Flintstones or even a Road Runner rewatch. Haven’t re-watched either in decades. Or maybe we can do the original Lost In Space if episodes can be found somewhere on the web. Archive org or you tube?? or maybe on one of the free streaming tv channels?

    1. Just realized November is almost over and I had not wished you a Happy Blogiversary. 19 years n counting! xo

        1. It really does seem like it’s gone by in a blink, eh?! I remember your first entry at Blog Spot in November 2006. Before the title and website change.
          There are definitely times when
it still feels like yesterday. xo.
Albeit, I can no longer recall
what your header read before the JosephMallozzi.com – thoughts, rants, ruminations, change.
          And, these days, unfortunately,
there are more times than not when I struggle to even recall what I ate or if I bathed a couple hours prior. lol

  4. Carter and Spock… a battle of the minds!

As for a re-watch… maybe Psych or Monk?
