Picard all the way Joe! But I’ve got a soft spot for Firefly/Serenity

Picard and Sisko!!
A tough choice because I love these captains so much!
The logical choice would be Picard. Afterall, it was his ship that won the poll. It makes sense to choose a captain that is familiar with it. But the goal is to choose the captain that I want to serve under, and that’s Malcolm Reynolds. Even though I’d likely be shot on our first job together I know he would do everything possible to protect a member of his crew . . . other than leaving me behind on the ship where it’s safer, of course.
I’m less confident and prosaic about the choice between Kirk and Sisko. The reality is that I’d probably be a lowly redshirt that dies in the second act. Kirk will barely notice, Sisko would be cut up about it for a couple of minutes. But Kirk is legendary so I’ll choose him. I may die but what a way to go!

Mal & Sisko. Mal would throw out protocol and act. Sisko wouldn’t be chasing skirts as a subplot.
Sisko wasn’t a ship Captain but a station manager/liason. I would serve with him or Picard. But I would get kicked out of the Federation so I would have to ride with Mal.
