Yozo!

The weekend is finally upon us!  What are we all up to?  Besides, of course, preparing our taxes?  Here in Toronto, they’re calling for -12 celsius/10.4 fahrenheit, so I’ll be limiting my activities to the indoor variety – the 4 R’s: reading, riding, researching, and rhythmic gymnastics.

Recent culinary forays…

Same vibe.

Lantern squid cured in mirin and soy.  Lest you are leery, the label apparently makes assurances that the eyeballs have, in fact, been removed.

Crab gut fiorelli.  I have to admit, the crab guts work better with pasta than straight out of a  can on steamed rice.

Suspect sweets compliments of our friends Jeff and Barb.  Which would you try first?

Speaking of trying: Today’s Yes/No…

Don’t forget to use those biodegradable straws!

Good ole Snopes.  Standing up for the little guy (He’s 5 “8)…

  1. Crab gut and hotaru ika gut sound delicious.
I’m quite curious about your “rhythmic gymnastics” …

  2. If I weren’t trying to lower A1c level, I’d offer to take the Moon Pies, Malló Cups, and cherry candy canes off your hands.

  3. Lantern squid…. NO!

    Crab gut fiorelli…. NO!

Shio koji and sake-marinated black cod…. Maybe. I don’t trust you now.

Jeff and Barb sweets…. I’d be safe and go with the Moon Pie first.

So the Pfizer guy is saying the vaccine has no effect on the current Omicron version of the virus? We are all so screwed. You know, I don’t even want to talk about this anymore.

  4. Wowza on what Jeff and Barb sent! I’d try the Mallo Cups first. My parents bought Moon Pies for our school lunches for years. A little variety would have been grand.

I take Snopes with a grain of salt now. Lately, they’ve been showing their bias on political things.

    I’d try the Orange Whiskey.

🙄 on the yacht story. Elites going to elite.

Interesting food choices. I’d love to try them.

I’m pro-vax. Mainly, because I worked with animals for years and I’ve seen vaccines work. The Parvo virus vaccine sometimes doesn’t protect like it should but for the most part the others do. My point is, I understand all vaccines do NOT protect all the time. We just do what we can. I’m not going to stress over it. We have bad weather coming here to. I’m hoping it goes around us like last time. I don’t mind the snow so much but the ice is a killer. Stay warm and cozzy this weekend! I’m going to try the treadmill this morning and then veg out the rest of the day. 🙋‍♀️
