I have to choose?
Normally I’d give Alex Ross the win but that Vampirella cover Ben Oliver is absolutely gorgeous.
Hulk, maybe Aquaman. I haven’t been keeping up with comics, and one reason is because I can’t handle the ugliness of the art anymore. Monsters, demons, gore, guts, blood, death, zombies, vampires, torture…it’s all so ugly. And there is just too much ugliness in the world right now. I want to see the beautiful things, not disturbing things.
That said, I seem to have no problem reading a book about severed feet in shoes washing ashore in Florida…and so far this latest Pendergast has been a decent read. I liked the one before it, too.
