336.5 miles, 74 kpop songs, and one prosciutto, lettuce and tomato sandwich later, we arrived in Montreal.  The dogs were a little edgy for the first two hours until they presumably realized were not, in fact, going to the visit the vet – at which point they kicked back and snoozed through the remainder of the trip.  No hiccups along the way (outside of Akemi forgetting her toothbrush), but I was concerned by the car’s initial reluctance to recognize the keyless remote, seemingly grudgingly coming around on the fifth attempt.  I’m hoping the battery lasts long enough to get us home next week!

This Christmas, it’s mom, sis, Akemi, and I…and six dogs.  Lulu, our frenchie, is super chill and gets along with everyone.  Suji, our senior pug rescue, is super high-strung and gets along with no one – with the exception of Lulu.   Was kind of hoping she’d try to be nice, show a little bit of the Christmas spirit, but this seems unlikely.

In response to blog regular Fuchsia’s request, here are 10 horror movie taglines.  This time, you’ll have to guess the movies.

Ready?  Go!

1 – We dare you to say his name five times.

2 – Check in.  Relax.  Take a shower.

3 – If Nancy doesn’t wake up screaming, she won’t wake up at all…

4 -Don’t answer the phone.  Don’t open the door.  Don’t try to escape.  Someone has taken their love of scary movies one step too far.

5 – The night HE came home.

6 – They’re here.

7 – All work and no play make Jack a dull boy.

8 – Trapped in time.  Surrounded by evil.  Low on gas.

9 – This doll is killer.

10 – Don’t get him wet, keep him out of bright light, and never feed him after midnight.

This is the easy version.  Let’s see how you do on these before we graduate to the more challenging level.

Love me some horror! I prefer the old classics, though. Not as into gore and slashing as modern horror has gone. Ghosts, ghouls, and monsters are always more fun, with an occasional shark named Bruce thrown in for variety’s sake. Mind games are especially good because our own imagenings are often way scarier than what’s on the screen, i.e., what’s behind the phantom’s mask.

  3. 1 – Candyman

    2 – Psycho

3 – Nightmare on Elm Street

    4 – Scream

    5 – Halloween

    6 – Poltergeist

    7 – The Shining

    4 – Scream
5 – Halloween The Night HE Came Back
    6 – Poltergeist

8 – From Dusk Till Dawn
9 – Chucky aka Childs Play
    10 – Gremlins

  5. wow. 5 hours just to travel “36.5” miles. Did you travel by tricycle?? No wonder the girls were kinda cranky the first couple hours. 😀 😀 😀

Mewhy Kwistmas and happy holidays to all in our blog family.

Joe, please be sure to give your mom some extra warm hugs from all of us this week.
I’m sure, even if she puts on a brave face she could do with a bit of extra cheer
    this holiday.

  6. Thanks so much Joe!
We got all but 2 of them straight off but then had to google 5 and 8.
    Can’t wait for Tagline Extreme!

  7. Ha. There i go again misreading things. 😀 Sahwies. Old age. Tired brain. just noticed the big periwinkle colored “3” before the “36.5” miles. Well, that makes much more sense than taking five hours to travel 36 miles.

    Merry Christmas.
