This yes/no quiz is quite easy… No to all of them. I’m not adventurous with food.

No. No. No. No. No. No. No.

I had to zoom in on that Oreo font to make sure the “A” wasn’t printed without the cross bar and with a little circle above it. I did find that mistake in some freelancer artwork once. We didn’t use that freelancer or anything he made after that.

Natural Light was the cheapest brand of beer you could get when I was a teen. I think it was a conspiracy to convince teens beer is horrible.

Joe, I just finished reading Old Man’s War (series, all 6 books). What should I read next?

John Scalzi is amazing. I looked through several years of your picks. Here’s what I’ve read recently:

Old Man’s War Series
The Collapsing Empire / The Consuming Fire (can’t wait for the third book in this series)
Redshirts
Barbary Station
Freeze-frame Revolution
Sea of Rust (I want more like this!)
Children of Time
Time for the Stars (Heinlein)
Tunnel in the Sky (Heinlein)
The Moon is a Harsh Mistress
Orphans of the Sky
Ender’s Game / Ender’s Shadow / Shadow of the Hegemon
Hunger Games / Catching Fire / MockingJay
Pathfinders series (Card – I’m more into sci-fi than fantasy, but these were pretty good)
Foundation series (Asimov – Only the main series, should I read the prequels?)
I, Robot (so much better than the movie)

I loved all of these and I’m hungry for more.

I’m thinking of delving more into the classics (Heinlein, Asimov, etc.) but, I’m curious if you have some more modern suggestions for me.

Thanks!

Joe, I’m an Arrow fan and occasionally watch The Flash, but chat to fans via my Arrow Twitter account and I can honestly say I’ve never seen anyone call The Flash fans Flash Mob.

Cheers, Chev

Only yes to the Oreos. Well maybe the ice cream.

Poor Joe! You’ll get through this!

Sorry, everything is a no.

Sure. Why not. Yes to all of them.
Especially if I could drink a nice large mug of that glitter cappacino on a night before
I’m scheduled for a full medical diagnostic
including urine & feces samples and full body xray or CT scan.

Joe, you never answered my question about Lulu. Is she okay??
Why did she have to return to the vet so soon after last visit ?

David S. Issel: Did you read the Robot novels by Asimov?
What about “The Forever War” by Joel Haldeman? Marco Kloos has a good alien invasion series. Martha Wells has the Murderbot series. It’s good but the stories are short.
My hubby and I like the Jack Campbell “The Lost Fleet” novels too. We listen to the audio book while driving. The voice actor is incredible, Christian Rummel-he can modulate his voice into several characters. Rummel is a classicaly trained theatre actor and it shows in his work.
Scalzi’s The Interdependency Series is pretty good but I’m not a big fan of the audio books read by Wheaton. I like his voice but he can’t modulate different characters like some of the other voice actors.
Thanks for your list. I’ve read a few you listed and the others….. I’ll look up. My hubby likes hard core Sci-fi classics (Clarke, Hogan, Chalker, Vogt, and Weber).

On your quiz: No, no, yes, no, yes, no and yes.

I survived the karate tournament. Our ring ran smoothly, with no major injuries and I didn’t screw up the charts, so all is good! I did get a laugh out of one of ladies. Robin is a world wide competitor in karate (she’s very good) and she was watching her young son spare (he’s around 11 or 12). The kid got knocked down while sparing and being a great karate mom, Robin’s on the side line saying “What are you doing on the floor? Get off the floor!”. smile

In reality, all the Yes’s mean I’d try them. Some would probably taste good, but none are things I’d go out of my way for. I don’t really drink cappuccinos, so those would be one-time tastes. I had to look up White Rabbit ice cream (to confirm it’s not made of actual rabbits). All Oreos are meh, in my opinion. That “beer” looks horrifying.

Most of that up there is ok . . . I guess. As long as it’s not guts, butts, brains, innards, colons, etc, like you like to eat, it may be okay.

PBMom

I’m a yes only for the Oreo’s. I might try White Rabbit Ice Cream.
