Dinner at Lee Restaurant: Akemi, Jodelle, Mackenzie, Melissa, Ivon, and Roger.
Lee’s signature 19 ingredient salad – minus the cilantro for Akemi, which puts it at 18.
Out for drinks with Mackenzie, Melissa, and Alex.
Alex’s science experiment cocktail.
My $45 cocktail was served under a glass cloche surrounded by smoking wood chips.
Inside, a hand-chipped ice ball. I dunno. I’m still more of a hot chocolate guy.
Jodelle looking inexplicably Irish as she samples someone’s drink.
Melissa in awe.
Awww. Best of friends, on screen and off.
A rare picture of Akemi and I – photographed through the bottom of Alex’s water glass.
$45 cocktail???
I am reminded of my dinner that I have a picture of in a special time last year when I was in Bangkok. The dinner was a limit menu and prepared in limited quantities. /

I swear to God if I could “like” every single one of these pictures I would. And what a cool bunch of drinks. Alex’s dry ice experiment reminds me of many Halloween parties we threw in our 20s. It was a staple and I’m still surprised no one got hurt, from it or anything else.
Your the best ! Thank you for sharing you blog. Can’t wait for the new season and the one after that. Raza crew rules !
These pictures more than anything drive home the fact that the end is near…lots of fun before parting….until next season.
Did you really have a $45 cocktail? I thought $15 for a martini is too much! I prefer my drinks on Happy Hour.
Happy Easter to all!!
By the way, that is a awesome pic of you and Akemi!
Clever.
Love the photo framed thru the base of a water glass trick
and the adorable glassware with built in glass straw.
Albeit, you can keep that over priced, dressed up, cocktail
unless they were serving you a very rare aged whisky
and the ice ball was formed with water from Jupiters moon, Europa,
and hand chipped by the ghosts of Alexandros of Antioch, Donatello and Michelangelo working in unison.
Hope everyone is enjoying their Easter weekend. xo
As for me, I can hardly wait till Monday
when the local stores mark down the leftover boxes
of yellow marshmallow peeps
so I can justify splurging on a whole case.
I’m so friggin addicted to those tasty little chicks!
Time to celebrate a little. You all deserve it. Can’t wait to see your hard work.
Those drinks ….
Wish there was such a thing as taste-o-vision!
I’m wondering how you would approach that salad without it winding up all over the table.
They say that “eye appeal is half the meal”, and I guess that goes for drinks too, but $45 seems a bit much. But hey, it’s a special occasion! There’ll only ever be one Dark Matter season 3! It looks like a good time was had by all, and well deserved too.
Wow, that food looks great! I don’t like cilantro either. It tastes like soap, yuck!
Almost finished filming but how much longer do you stay in town?
Akemi is entirely correct in skipping the cilantro. I too have the “tastes like soap” gene.
Interesting cocktails. Once upon a time I would happily splurge on unique experiences, but the budget these days is more dollar margaritas on a Mexican beach …
Love that picture! Alex has a great eye, has he considered directing an ep? That salad looks tasty, and now I don’t feel so guilty about adding a ridiculous amount of toppings to my cardboard-like Boboli crust this weekend.
It wasn’t quite a guilt free pizza but it was able to add less sauce and way more veggie toppings.
Oh my. You went to one of “those” places for drinks….

If I was there, I’d be giggling the whole time, thinking of this clip from Parks and Rec.
