Well, look who was in town on business – but took some time out for a little eating pleasure.  If it isn’t our old Stargate fellow writer-producer Carl Binder.

In town – ONE NIGHT ONLY! – so there was only one real choice: schnitzel dinner at Country Style Hungarian for their massive platter.  We all took a huge shnitz and then, later, Ivon also took a massive crepe!

Finally – Sujiko braves the winter.  Akemi is convinced she’s actually a mixed breed.  Partly pug, but mostly koala.

  1. Oh my goodness, look who it is! Carl!! Schnitze and all!! Good to see him again!

I’d like to see a picture of you in your suit standing next to director Steve DiMarco in his…. um…. usual wear.

Agreed! In that picture of you all on your white couch a few weeks ago, I thought Suji looked like a koala bear!

  2. My goodness, a leather kilt and sensible tights. I am swooning. Swooning so hard.

    That is some mighty schnitzel!

    D’awwww. Such a pretty pupper.

  3. Hi Carl! Any new projects you can tell us about?

Maggiemayday: Hello to you in paradise!

Akemi: I’m loving all of Suji’s Instagram pictures! I hope the vet can get a handle on what’s causing her UITs. Are those cranberry treats helping?
She does look like a koala. 🙂

Thanks for posting all the pictures. It’s been nice seeing the team.

It’s been a busy few days. I “watched” Dr Jo for a few hours. You have to watch her like a hawk because she keeps getting up by herself. It’s hard letting go of independence though. I’m learning all about feeding tubes. It’s a good day when you learn something new.

Dr’s appointment tomorrow for a pinched nerve. Getting older sucks. However, I did get a compliment on my swimming this morning.

All this election stuff…I might be ostrich-like and bury my head in the sand for four years.

  4. I’m not sure if you’ve heard of an anime called K Joe, but the studio behind this have done a show called Hand Shakers. It has quite a funky yet almost vertigo introducing animation style. There’s like heavy emphasis on panoramic shots of locations, and crowds etc. The CGI stuff is littered throughout the episode, it’s almost an abomination in anime terms. I’ve never seen an anime series do this before. It’s just so weird that I thought it was worth a mention. I didn’t think the first episode was bad though.

  5. Oh look at the happy dog. All I will say to that is it’s a good thing she’s not hear where the family dog has to ware his winter jacket full time.
Glad to see Carol is making time for you. It answers one question I had.
Hey Can’t wait for season 3. If I stay healthy.

  6. Riley is Five’s long lost sister!

Continued thanks for the BTS photos. Nice to see your production crew in their natural habitat.

I’m still amazed that your dogs “just wear” whatever Akemi dresses them in. I don’t know any dogs that keep even a hairbow in for more than a few hours after being groomed.

  7. MaggieL80 Funny you say that because I thought first that Five got a new hairdo.

@TamDixon Sorry to hear about your pinched nerve. They suck. And yes, getting old sucks. Sorry to hear about Dr. Jo, too.

Nice to see Carl! I was so sad Houdini and Doyle didn’t get renewed. To be honest I wasn’t sure if it would be a show for me, but I’m so glad I watched and made any judgments later. It was a terrific show. I hope him coming into town is a sign of projects yet to come.

I would imagine in the Toronto cold kilts without leggings would be brutal.

Suji is so photogenic and adorable. Heck, all of them are.

  8. So great to see Carl for this mini-SG reunion! That is a lot of snow, we haven’t seen that much this year, didn’t even get the big ice storm.
